A precious gift
We try to achieve it
But seldom do
Weakness and selfishness
Keeps it out of reach
We let it walk all over us
Or walk all over it
But to have any meaning
It should be treated with respect
Nothing sloppy or solvent about it
Most times it sweep us off our feet
But only discipline makes it last
For it is both demanding and rewarding
And when you meet these demands
And accept those rewards
You'll find like I have that life just isn't full
But overflowing with everlasting never ending
